Beautox Bar Offers the Latest in Scar Reduction Treatments

Whether they are from stretch marks, acne, or surgery, scars can draw unwanted attention to oneself. Sometimes, if they’re the result of a violent or traumatic event, they can become daily reminders of pain. No matter how they were acquired, scars can change the appearance and even function of the body.

In an ideal world, accidents, health conditions, and other issues wouldn’t happen or at least wouldn’t cause scars to form. Unfortunately, it’s not always possible to prevent scars. Many scars, however, respond to scar repair therapy. At Beautox Bar, we’re proud to offer the latest in scar reduction treatment.

What Causes Scars

Even though they may have arisen from traumatic events, scars are the evidence of healing. They might not look lovely, but they are the result of a beautiful process: the body’s ability to make itself whole again. Fibrinogen and collagen operate in an intricate dance to create scabs and new tissue.

Unfortunately, such a miraculous process results are often far from beautiful, and life is far from fair when it comes to scarring. Since everyone is different, scars can take many different forms. Factors including age, genes, ethnicity, and gender impact how skin heals. So does the depth of the injury, its size, and location on the body.

Keloid scars, for example, form when the healing process goes into overdrive and forms a thick, raised area of tissue. Over time, keloids can become hard and even make it difficult to move. Although they can occur in people of every skin tone, they are most common among individuals with darker skin tones.

Contracture scars, like keloid scars, can harden and make movement challenging, but they are formed in a very different way. A contracture scar forms in response to a burn injury.

Common Scars That We Can Treat

While there is a wide range of scars, there are some types that occur more frequently than others. There are also some scar types that respond especially well to scar repair therapy. Acne scar repair, stretch mark reduction, and surgical scar treatment are some of our most frequently performed procedures.

Surgical Scars

Scars from surgery can also persist long after the initial recovery has been completed. The depth and location of the surgical incision influence the type and severity of any scars that may form. While a scar might seem like a small price to pay following critically essential or even life-saving surgery, scars can sometimes limit movement or change how the body functions in other ways, in addition to altering the appearance.

Scar Reduction Treatment We Offer

Morpheus8 is our first-line modality for surgical scar reduction and other scar repair treatments. This therapy combines radiofrequency (RF) energy and microneedles to promote collagen production and tissue regeneration. It is a popular nonsurgical therapy that requires minimal downtime.

Morpheus8 vs. Laser, Injections, and Surgical Scar Reduction

While Morpheus8 is our top choice for scar repair, other therapies, including laser, injections, and surgical scar reduction, are available at other facilities. We choose Morpheus8 over them because it gives our customers the results they want with minimal risk. It also requires little advanced preparation.

Laser therapy, for example, requires individuals to change their daily routine for a month before a procedure. Medications and supplements must be skipped or changed to other prescriptions. Retinoid, glycolic acid, and other popular skincare products must also be discontinued to reduce serious side effects. At Beautox Bar, we know our customers don’t have time for these and several more lengthy preparations.

Surgery also requires bloodwork, fasting, and other preparation. An internet search for “scar reduction treatment near me” will reveal a variety of surgical scar reduction treatment options. It won’t, however, show much about the increased likelihood of infection or the 100% chance of downtime. Surgery can also cause permanent disfigurement or other unintended changes.

Injections are quick, convenient, and a popular option for other treatments at Beautox Bar. Our loyal customers will all agree that the Beautox Bar wouldn’t be nearly as much fun without cheek fillers, lip flips, or the bartenders and servers that specialize in serving with style.

Unfortunately, injectable scar therapy solutions are very hard to control. Once they are in the body, they can’t be easily redistributed to reduce scars strategically. This can result in uneven treatment and poor results in general. The advantage of our non-invasive scar repair therapies is that they use a handheld device that can be removed during the procedure if needed.

Who Are Ideal Candidates For Our Scar Reduction Treatment

In our experience, the scar reduction treatment we offer is most suitable for those with pitting acne scars, dull skin tone, mild to moderate wrinkles, and uneven skin texture. Customers with skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, or open skin wounds should consult with a healthcare provider since this therapy is not recommended for individuals with those skin conditions.

What To Expect During The Treatment

Since our scar reduction treatment doesn’t require any preparation, customers can arrive after eating lunch, wearing makeup, or any other way they choose. When they’re in our care, our customers expect to be pampered. We strive to create a relaxing environment, and that begins the moment our customers walk in the door.

Once inside, we quickly escort each customer to a quiet, private treatment area. Before we begin, we review treatment goals and the treatments themselves. We then gently cleanse the skin. Even if there is no makeup on it, the skin is often covered with oils, environmental pollution, and other impurities.

Comfort is our priority, so we encourage our customers always to speak up if they feel any discomfort or have any questions. Our nurse applies a numbing cream to the area being treated to ensure physical comfort. Once we’re sure it has taken effect, we gently treat the skin using the Morpheus8 handheld device. We take our time to treat the area evenly and thoroughly. Since we meticulously apply numbing cream and don’t begin until the area is numb, most customers feel minimal to no discomfort.

Downtime After The Treatment

A few days after a Morpheus8 session, pin-sized scabs will begin to appear over the treated area. Customers should not worry about these. They are entirely normal and are a sign that the therapy has reached the appropriate skin level for optimal treatment. With time, the scabs will fall off, revealing rejuvenated skin.

Since RF microneedling therapy involves remodeling the skin, some irritation is normal. Expect mild redness, peeling, itching, and bleeding as the skin undergoes a transformation. We expect a call from our customers if any of these side effects progress to more than mild discomforts.
